How does the order process work? TOP
Step 1: Select Quantity, Style, Desired TextOnce you have chosen a design you like, enter the requested information on the item page. This order page usually asks for: - The type of product you want (printed on photo paper, digital only etc.)
- Baby's Name, birthday, weight, etc.
- Other information that you want included on your design.
- The quantity of items being ordered
All you have to do is enter the information as requested on this page! Step 2: Confirm Price, Address ,PaymentAt this stage you will confirm the quantity on your order as well as the shipping address etc. Once you're done verifying all the info it will pass you onto PayPal to complete your payment. (Payments are accepted via Paypal, if you would like to arrange another form of payment please contact us directly.)
Step 3: Receive Receipt from PayPal You will receive a receipt from PayPal with your order number on it. For some reason the order system always uses the email address that is saved in your paypal
Step 4: Send us your photos!
Once you receive your receipt for payment from SwanSong please reply to the email with the Photo that you would like included on your greeting. Once we have received this information we will send you a confirmation email.
Step 5: Approve Proofs & Ship 48-72 hours later we will provide a link with a proof of your design for you to approve. If you are satisfied with the proof we will send you your order by mail or email you the files (as specified in your purchased package.)
If you have any more questions about the order process, please email or call! Why do you offer a 'digital picture only' package? TOP
We realize that you may be more likely to want to email an announcement, or maybe even post it on your Facebook account which is why we decided to offer the digital only package.
We will provide you with a high resolution version of your announcement that you can print at your local photo lab as well as a lower resolution version that you can email, post to Facebook/Myspace etc. They are yours to distribute, but any commercial use is prohibited.. Should I edit my photos before sending them? TOP It is better to send us the largest resolution photo you have, untouched and uncropped. You can request that we remove some imperfections if needed, and we can also convert them to black and white if that's the style you would like. Are the proofs printable? TOP
For sure! But remember that they are very low resolution versions of the final announcements. They really won't be suitable for printing or mailing. I just had professional pregnancy photos taken, can I use those in the announcement? TOP
Copyright belongs to the photographer and studios. It is their legal right to prohibit people from using their photos without their permission. For all greetings we will gladly use one of the photographers photos but ask that you provide us with a copyright release from the photographer or studio. We're sure that they will be happy to comply :) I ordered an announcement a few weeks ago and would like to order a refill, can I do so? TOP
Certainly! Just give us a call or email (or go through the original order process again) and we will be glad to help you out. We keep all proofs posted for 60 days, so if you want to take another look before you decide for sure you can check your proof link again.
If you would like another design we can certainly accomodate you with that request as well! What kind of photo paper do you use? TOP
We provide our photo prints on Fuji Film Crystal Archive paper. This paper is acid free and according to Fuji "Lasts a lifetime." We tried several photo printing places (including all of the big box stores) and found a smaller local printer that provides what we believe to be the best colour and quality around. It was important for us to find someone that was local, that provided high quality print services, and that also understood that these announcements are important to both the senders and receivers. We're confident we'll be able to continue to provide top notch printing services in our printable packages.
Greeting cards are all printed on 100lb cardstock with a glossy front and matte inside/back. We use a different printer for these, but again are confident in the services that they provide. Do you offer discount codes? TOP We sure do! Keep checking our 'News and Updates' page, you never know what you might find.
